A year of Democratic leadership coddling Sinema and Manchin has proven to be a catastrophic disaster. We need open confrontation of them and heavy-handed application of political leverage against them from Biden and Schumer. Sickeningly, I don’t think Democratic leadership has it in them to do it, not given their power base of oligarchical party funders, nor ideologically, nor even psychologically. But don’t take “no” for an answer. Call, write, protest, spread the word.
